Application Fee Waiver Policy

A request for an 本科 Application Fee Waiver would be approved if the applicant can provide 一个 of the following:

Currently Enrolled High School Student:

  • Letter from the high school or guidance counselor stating 学生 qualifies for free or reduced lunch program (please complete the PDF request for an application fee waiver).
  • Letter from the high school counselor, 美国教育考试服务中心, or the College Board stating 学生 qualified for the ACT/SAT test fee waiver (per low-income family qualification).
  • Letter from the high school counselor stating 学生 is from a low-income family who has demonstrated financial need.
  • Provide a copy of your benefits summary confirming you, 学生, receives low-income family support and aid (see below for programs that qualify).
  • Letter from a Social Services representative indicating 学生 is a ward of the state.
  • Documentation 学生 is a participant in 一个 of the federally funded 教育al Opportunity Programs (TRIO) for low-income/first generation college-bound students.

Military Student:

The application fee is waived for all military and veteran applicants with proof of military status.  Please provide 一个 of the following documents as proof of military status to the Office of 本科 招生:

  • DD214
  • Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE)
  • Military Orders

Adult First-Year/转移 Student:

Provide a copy of your benefits summary confirming you, 学生, receive benefits from a health and human services program based on low-income. The types of low-income programs that may qualify would be:

  • Federal low income assistance programs such as: AFDC (Aid for Dependent Children), AABD (Aid to the Aged, 盲目的 和残疾人), 医疗补助计划, 食品救济券, and federally assisted child care.
  • Documentation of participation in 一个 of the federally funded 教育al Opportunity Programs (TRIO) for low-income/first generation students.
  • A copy of your 金融援助 Award letter from your previous school confirming you were Pell Grant eligible within the last two years.
  • Student Aid Report (SAR) printed from fafsa.ed.政府
  • Applicants only receiving benefits through Social Security would not qualify.

Types of low-income programs that may qualify would be:
